Hostel Korea - Original is a short 300 metres from Sinseoldong Subway Station (Line 1 or 2), and offers air-conditioned guestrooms with free Wi-Fi. A daily free breakfast is provided in the shared dining area. Guests can also enjoy free international calls and usage of the free public computer.

Simply furnished, all rooms come with a TV, air conditioning and heating. Bathroom facilities are either private or shared, and equipped with a shower.

Hostel Korea - Original is a 10-minute walk from Cheonggye Stream and a 10-minute drive from the popular Dongdaemun Market. Gimpo International Airport is a 50-minute drive away. It is a 1-hour, 20-minute drive from Incheon International Airport.

The hostel provides a shared kitchen area where guests can prepare simple meals. Barbecue facilities are also available. Luggage storage is provided at the front desk.

An ok place to lay your head after a long day

The hostel was close to all public transport. The beds were comfortable and it was warm with good warm water pressure

It was a little grubby and we barely saw any staff. Just had a number to contact

Location. Pretty close to metro.

Didn’t see any personnel, check in over phone, don’t know why I had to wait until 16:00 for that. Pictures on booking have rooms that don’t exist (common area).

Great location, heater in the room, clean towels, quiteness outside, washing machine & drying machine

Dirt, mold (especially in the shower room), one of the drying machines was half broken (could tear clothes), no receptionist (need to call them every time)

for one night, im good..and thank you so much to the workers who the one respond for my whatsapp

the person incharge is responsive via whatsapp, and good in consideration toward guest situation

the fan in the room is too loud, and there is someone else can open the door using another room card.. there is couple try to enter my room accidently, and at that time i am going to sleep..its not really secure i guess..

Hostel Korea – Original consider one of the cheapest hostel in Seoul

Nearby to Line 1 metro, Dongmyo station exit 2 with lift & Sinseol-dong station exit 12 with lift. There are 3 floors where 1st & 2nd floor are shared bathroom & 3rd floor with private bathroom. There’s a cold & hot water dispenser in the kitchen, you can also do some cooking here.

No lift inside the hostel, be prepare to carry your luggage up the stairs. No receptionist at the counter, you have to communicate with the staff for check-in.

My 2nd time to stay at this hostel and it is strategically near to most of the train stations and some of the places I want to go.

The facilities are just fine considering the price nonetheless I saved a lot of time and money when roaming around.

Honest review

What I like the most is the hostel is near to Dongmyo and Sinseoldong Stations. The hostel is in between those stations mentioned. The place was also near a bus stop. Restaurants are everywhere, the neighborhood is nice and quiet. The hostel also provides a kitchen (which we didn't use) but a must if you don't like to eat outside, they also have iron for clothes.

The toilet is not clean and doesn't have proper drainage. You have to wait for the water to go down after you shower. The electric fan provided in our room can't be used by the person on the double deck so it's quite hot but thankfully it's already the start of the autumn season. The bedding is not quite clean and the pillows so I have to use linen fabric for any bugs and have to use my towel to cover the pillow and the bed.

It was a pleasant stay

It is good value for money. The staff is co-operative. They provide the best toiletries including as many hand towels as you use and tooth brushes.

The address was very confusing and even the taxi driver had to drive around many lanes to find the location. They need to write the correct way to reach when coming from airport by bus.
